What are you doing these days?
Still doing Insurance and still raising kids--jeez--does it ever end!!   Recovering from shoulder surgery and unfortunately planning to have knee replacement surgery (it's a mind game with this one!)

Tell us about your children.
Aaron is 27 and is a consultant and program application designer for a large company in San Diego called Pyxis.  Hollie is 20 and is a sophomore at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa (this is the high maintenance one), and our youngest, Toby who is 12 and named after my dad-who some of you remember.  Toby is in seventh grade and has Fran Chapman (Poist) as one of his teachers--small world.

Highlights of the past 40 years.
Wow--I can hardly remember what happened last week, but I would have to say I have had a pretty good life.  Went to San Jose State with Paul Summers after 2 years at COD--that lasted 1 semester--Paul joined the army and I transferred to San Diego State, where, after being drafted and getting out because of a bad knee injury, I finished college in 1969.  I immediately went to work with my dad in the insurance business.   I started my own business in 1980 (my dad died in 1972) and kept that agency until 1996 when I merged it with Weingarten and Hough (remember Pancho and Greg Hough!!)  I became a pilot back in 1982 and have owned 3 airplanes, which I really enjoyed.   We've had several boats, did the Colorado River deal for quite a few years-even bought a condo down in Bullhead City.  That lasted about 4 years till we got tired of going from the heat to the heat!  My wife and I have traveled to several places over the last 25 years and are leaving for Maui with the kids for a week (to see Kent and Polli) for our 25th wedding anniversary in April.  Out kids are still our main focus in life.

Words of Wisdom to Impart?
UMMM-The grass isn't always greener and when you discover what love really is--cherish it--it can be gone in an instant.

Your funniest memory(s)while at PSHS.
Watching Paul Summers pick David Friedrich up by his pants and swat him when David was making noise in Science class-all with a smile on his face.  I was in shock--does anybody else remember that or is this really the sign of early dimentia?  Parties at Karen Quigleys house, the Sand Drags and Dunes Parties.  Unfortunately, there is little sand left where we all partied!  Too many fun times I can't remember them all.   I always wanted to date Nan Stephens--guess I wasn't alone

General Unloading Done Here.  Your choice of subject(s).
Well, we're all big kids now and we've all seen just about everything.  There has never been a 40 year period in history where more has happened--from wars to unbelievable information development to total political unrest in the world to--you name it.  I'm really tired of people expecting something for doing nothing.  Special interests pushing one way agendas have a severe tendency to really piss me off.  I wish I could say that the world is a better place and that I somehow contributed to it, but I don't feel that's the case.  It seems like everything is out of control and the systems (all of them) are broken.  Self serving attitudes and egomaniacal thought processes have become more important than doing what's right--and our kids are left to endure all this crap and try to make a way in a world going bad.  What happened to the simple times I grew up in--I want to go back there--and I want to take my kids with me so they can see how life was meant to be.  I miss those great times--
