What are you doing these days?
Enjoying Life as much as possible.  I support that by "practicing" law, which I still enjoy very much after all these years.  If Mary and I aren't gardening, hiking, throwing a party, or working on the house, we're often off travelling, or just enjoying time with good friends, especially classmates from our high schools.  Some of them show up at our place during their "harsh winters" and we drop in during our "harsh summers."  Yes, Bob, that means you!!!

Tell us about your children.
I can't.  Both Mary and I forgot to have some!!!!!  Maybe next time!!!!  We'll try harder!!!

Highlights of the past 40 years.
The Grand Prize for Highlight of the Last Forty Years easily goes to the last twelve years with my sweetheart, soulmate, and partner in life and crime, Mary Barranger.  It took me a long time to find her, with some serious mishaps along the way, but the wait was well worth it.  She's been the concert pianist for the San Diego Symphony for 27 years, and my life is always full of wonderful music.  Imagine me loving classical music???  It's the perfect antidote to dealing with lawyers, judges and jurors all week long.  Mary's even become an Honorary PSHS '64 Grad!  The other big highlights are my terrific extended family, some of the people I've helped in my work, and my pursuit of aviation as a hobby.  Mary and I have flown our plane to distant points like Russia and Nova Scotia, and several trips to Alaska.  When we're not around town, you'll find us flying around in Cessna Centurion N7GB as often as possible.

Words of Wisdom to Impart?
I often reflect on how lucky we were to grow up in Palm Springs when we did.  I don't believe the World is a better place now than it was then, and surely that's a sad trend.  In the midst of poverty, war, and struggle, I find there's little that can match the value of good old friends, and I've been very lucky to have maintained frequent contact with many classmates, like Nancy, Bob, Wayne, Jay, Sandi, Stevie, Kaye, Linda, Kathy, and many others.  Each time we get-together it rejuvenates and reminds me of what really counts in life.  (AND A MILLION THANKS TO A HARD-WORKING REUNION COMMITTEE FOR BRINGING US TOGETHER LIKE THIS ONCE AGAIN.) Those surrounded by loved ones and good friends are truly fortunate.

Your funniest memory(s)while at PSHS.
Not being able to pronounce "Levis" when I just moved to Palm Springs from Philadelphia in 1960 and had to read an announcement in class.  Gads, how was I to know "dungarees" was pronounced "Levis" on the West Coast?  At that point I had never seen a "woman" in a "plaid golf skirt," or eaten a taco. What a wild time it was!!!

General Unloading Done Here.  Your choice of subject(s).
Just a few things:  First, may we all gather together once again, ten years from now, in peace, happiness and good health, having maintained contact in the meantime, and second, may we always strive for love, peace and justice.  Old hippies never die, they just keep on chanting (or ranting)!!!!!!!!  Lastly, classical music may be beautiful, but rock and roll truly rocks.  Remember, you can't dance to Beethoven, and Elvis wasn't here for nothing.
