What are you doing these days?
Actually enjoying my profession more; a little Hobie Cat sailing, water skiing in the summer and snow skiing in the winter; lots of time with my 11-year-old step son playing baseball, basketball and soccer and helping with homework again.

Tell us about your children.
Debi, 31, going to Naturopathic Medical School in Seattle, probably will end up teaching in her profession sometime after internship. Ali, 29, a certified snow-board instructor in Park City Utah and works at night in a womens shelter. She has become quite a sailor, having sailed a 26 foot boat with one other person from San Francisco to Mexico, then across the Pacific to the Marqueses Islands.  Her most recent journey was from El Salvador to Costa Rica.   All this from sailing with dad on the Hobie in Balboa and a few years on some bigger boats on San Francisco Bay.

Highlights of the past 40 years.
Married in '67, Graduated Dental School in '72; practiced for 12 years, quit the profession for 8 years to try to make my fortune in real estate; had a lot of fun trying to get rich, not so much fun losing almost everything a few years later.  Went back to my real job in '92; Did a lot of sailboat-racing on S.F. Bay until I got tired of being cold all the time. Sadly, my wife of 31 years passed away from a deadly brain tumor in '98, completely changing my whole life.  I became much more involved with my church and became still closer to my two daughters than ever before.  Good things happen after bad things though; I re-established friendships with some '64's; Jerry Blank, Ernie Reyes, Bob Boyle, Jimmy Pendergast, Tim Therieau, Charlie Phillips, Tim Rellaford and Butch Spillman. And I finally got a date with Kathy 'O!!  I met and married Marsha and began helping raise her little boy, Riley in '00. Life is good again!!

Words of Wisdom to Impart?
You can deal with anything, as long as you keep a positive attitude and don't give up.

Your funniest memory(s)while at PSHS.
Mike Thatcher dressed in a Palm Springs Police uniform standing on the top of the sand dune with a flash light and everybody at the party scattering, leaving the keg.
